Featured Work: "The Plum Island Collection"

"Being a hopeless romantic, I find that I am anchored by my heart. Just as a lighthouse guides to shore, the heart can serve as one's beacon through life. This collection of poetry, artwork, photos, and passages comes together as a love story; a story about Plum Island, a humble cottage, a family and a dream. It's about a broken heart due to the loss of a dear husband, yet the unexpected comfort and joy found in the beauty of Plum Island's charm, the color of the sunsets, the majesty of the waves, and gentleness of the sand dunes and the friendly nature of the residents.

As a calligrapher and artist for many years, I have always enjoyed the combination of artwork and poetry to better tell a story. The Plum Island Collection depicts a very personal story of a dream fulfilled yet bittersweet. Every season is beautiful at the beach, bringing hope and continued faith that heaven surrounds us when we need it most. It fills our eyes with the beauty of the sea, warms our hearts with the sun and kisses our faces with a gentle breeze.
